The Army thread started back in August, as I think the August AF Army, and there were "hup-2-3-4" kind of jokes floating around. The posts on that thread tend to be shorter, and so therefore resemble a chat conversation, rather than some of the other threads with longer posts. It also seems to me that there are a lot of folks from the UK and Ireland on that thread, though it is certainly not limited to anyone. (Maybe it's a timing thing? Some threads get busier depending on what side of the Atlantic one is on.) It's a very friendly thread, in my experience, with comments about beating AL, as well as daily life stuff.

The army has been the main reason I have stayed sober. Yes, we have fun, but living by myself, I need the connection and friendship I get here to help me through the hard times and cravings. It is the first place I turn when in trouble and the help I have recieved I will be forever gratefull for. It's a matter of finding a place you feel comfortable.
I have always tried to help new members to the army find there feet, especially at the beginning of there journey.
I am sorry you feel this way red, and I think I will leave it at that.

Hey girls, thanks for pullin me back...I was sooooooooooo gonna come home from this bball game and dive right in to something alchoholwise.....his bball games make me white knuckled as it is...they mean so much to him and he is so good but his team is struggling. That on top of the bull...and yes, you are right....1 2 many...he probably thought it was a great gift seeings as I love my calvies and thats how you get em....

Thrashing a thread because you don't like it or agree with the way things are done is really not helpful or kind. Each to their own, take what you find helpful from the boards and ignore the rest...simple.

I was not thrashing it. That is why I deleted my post. I figured it would be taken the wrong way.

Oh and thanks for the advice about 'taking what I find helpful and leave the rest'. I think I already know this as I have been here a very long time. But thanks for the advice anyway. :thanks:
