            always nc to see you here T,stay strong,,i was at an AA meeting yesterday,2 of the young ladies were off to treatment,soon,told the one to listen,listen will get you the best results,there was another young lady there ,i had my 24 hour medallion with me she was on her second 24 and i gave her my medallion,i also told her if she wanted to have a drink, the old saying was bite it and if it melts you can have a drink,she laughed,gyco

                    I love this Sunday thread tlrgs. Such a positive thread to start the day with.

                    BH-It was nice talking to you last night. AF/NF for over 300 days is an inspiration for me. Biggies are next on my to don't do list.

                    Starts- You posted on my first thread here. and on all my other threads I started after that. Thank you for helping me get through this first month. ( is that what squirrels look like in the UK?)

                        NO RULES ..JUST SHOUT OUT SUNDAY

                        Morning All!

                        Well I start my 3rd week sober tomorrow and feeling really positive today. I've had many ups and downs this past week but getting myself to meetings and talking to people I've managed to overcome them. I think the downs have had some positive impact though because I'm beginning to accept more how my destructive behaviour in the past has been a progression throughout my life that has lead me on this path through drink and drugs. It's been a hard pill to swallow at times that my own head has been 'mind fucking' me these past 20 years and at times I've felt very hollow.

                        I still struggle with many things today but I'm becoming less isolated and I'm talking to the right people i.e. fellow addicts. I'm learning how in the past I've used many things apart from drugs to try and fix me including relationships and it's helping me move forward. So for now I'm concentrating on my recovery and learning to accept me for who I am.

                          Woo Hoo.....It's Daytona 500 day!!!!!!! Gotta love it ...well I do.

                          I'm working on 3 weeks come Tuesday and Tuesday will come. I had a great night last night. My church had a Valentines Dinner and a talent show. OMGosh it was so funny. The best was 3 guys dressing up like ladies and singing "It's raining men". I don't think I laughed so hard sober. LOL I videoed it and you can hear me laughing. I watch it and just laugh at me laughing. Who knew I could have so much fun sober???!!!!!

                            I was reading you post and just realize. I actually missed out on so much fun when I was drinking! I mean I thought I was having fun. But if alcohol numbs the pain then it only makes sense that it would also numb the good times. Duhh!

                              Happy Sunday

                              this is day 2 for me, as I drank on Friday (only 3 beers, but started over again yesterday) Will go to a noon meeting, went to two yesterday................it is really helpful to me. Next step I really need to work on is not drinking over stress of work, home life, husband drunk-ass, all these things I am "powerless" over, but I do have control of what I put in my body, and for now, today, it will NOT be AL.....................
