    Actually, Cy, we had a neighbor for 9 yrs from Wales....a war bride as they called them. Her name was Menna.....still go to see her...about 85 and blind now but a very nice lady but she had the cutest accent!

      If it is SAD you would require a special kind of lamp, it provides the same amount of light for your room as a sunrise would in the summer, which although you're sleeping and won't see it, does send happy signals to the brain and help the body make certain vitamins. I'm not an expert on the condition, but I think prozac woudln't help as you're deficient in another chemical - not seratonin.

      If it's a seasonal thing it's also worth looking into whether anything particuarly traumatic happened at the time of year you become depressed at. I once thought I could have SAD but after cloer analysis found it was simply a repeating pattern from an event that occured when I was quite young.
