I just remembered some more-

after a Bob Marley concert I waited outside the back door for hours- everyone else had gone apart from me and my friend, he finally came out and autographed our programmes, then gave me (me personally!) the peace sign as the bus drove off. I was 15 at the time (he died the following year) and when my mum was having a fit in my bedroom one day she threw it away (she is very angry with herself for that now)

I also was once in a bar on the Costa del Sol and Freddie Foreman (one of the Kray's twin henchmen were there) he was a right nasty looking piece of work in the flesh.

Oh yes, and I was outside the Concordia restaurant talking to the doorman (In Paddington, London near the hotel I used to work) when Telly Savalas AKA Kojak, got out of a car and went in.

LOL I think I am, I have also met Los Chichos, Los Chunguitos (stayed at their house) and Azucar Moreno (been in their house) they are all very famous Spanish groups.

I also had a huge crush on Terry Venables at one time, and my mum arranged through a friend of hers that I should pretend to be a reporter and the friend (who owns a tabloid paper) would arrange me an interview with him. I bottled out.

I think it must be- the more I think the more keep coming back- Diego Maradona (at the height of his fame) was reported to be drinking in a hostess bar near the bar where I was working years ago- me and the other barmaid both drunk as usual left our stations and ran like a pair of lunatics to the den of vice but he had just left. Lucky man.

Yes those were the days- I doubt I would be so interested these days if a famous person were in my midst- apparently Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) has family or friends on the urbanisation where my shop is, and visits from time to time. Maybe if she comes this summer I can sell her some Tesco's curry noodles or something similar to remind her of home.

My husband once had Rolf Harris as a passenger when he was driving cab, and also he knows Simon Greenall (British TV actor). Me? I once saw Redd Foxx in a casino in Vegas. Big whoop.

We are catering tomorrow for a film crew from LA, they are filming for a reality show. The guy who came in today can't tell us anything about it at all other than its about a couple and they are filming the parents. I also catered for the film amityville horror and it was very fun, got to go to this big mansion on a lake everyday they called me snack lady. The big star was Ryan Reynolds (He is really, really handsome and cute all at the same time) he was dating Alanis Morissette at the time so I kept looking for her.

Oh and was on an airplane with Roger from Whats Happening back in the 80's, the plane was delayed and all these people kept coming up and trying to talk to him, it cracked me up.

I do get a kick of of stuff like that, being from a small town we think its fun.

Sadly, this claim to fame story is not about a hottie, man OR woman.

My Mom was the first commercial air passenger out of O'Hare Airport. When she told me I didn't believe her. BUT...she produced the old newspaper clippings of her standing at the bottom of the stairs going up to the plane (no jetways back then) holding a bouquet of a dozen roses surrounded by the Mayor of Chicago and a few other dignitaries.

My Dad was in the army stationed in France at the time. My Mom made her reservation when it was announced that O'Hare was expanding from a cargo only airport. She happened to be the first one. She was caught by surprise when she got to the airport and was whisked away from her Mom & Dad without a proper goodbye which freaked her out.

Mom went to France via Ireland. I've not been to Ireland but have a vivid image of how GREEN she describes it.

So anyway, besides showing horses with William and Marcy Shatner, and getting some scoop during that split and divorce, that's my claim to fame.

Wow, what cool stories!

When I was 14, my girlfriend and I found and snuck up to the penthouse apartment in New York City that belonged to Tommy James (of TJ and the Shondells). Of course, he wouldn't let us in, but talked to us through the door. I later sent him a thank you card, and he did send me a nice, personal Christmas Card that year. I left him alone after that.

In 1977, I met Chevy Chase in a bar in Georgetown, Washington, D.C. and talked to him for a few minutes. He was very gracious and nice.

I dated a DJ on Long Island in the mid-70's, who is now a DJ out in Las Vegas. I just found that out because I just went through a complicated search. He uses a somewhat different name now and is married. LOL. I guess he got over me, huh? Obviously, he's not that famous, at least not that you all would know him. He still f'n looks the same, but I don't!! There's something suspicious about that, ya think?
