That's a long time. It's great you're trying this together. Difficult, though. Very difficult. My HB and I have been married 20 years this year. We drink together. I asked him to do 7 days AF with me a few weeks ago and he made it to day 4 then drank. We'll try again in a bit. Ahh, it must be nice to have somebody who knows you so well, and to be able to help them as well. Me and my BF are trying to help each other, but he's more independent than i am so it's hard to get him to open up about how things are going - mind you thats just his way, and I know for a fact he's been doing amazingly, especially as he's quitting smoking at the same time.The way I change the past is by not repeating it

Be, I asked hubby to do a week AF with me last summer. He did, but very grudgingly, and by Friday it was out the door for both of us. (I posted some more details -- and my frustrations -- on the "Spouses who Drink" thread.) It's a big issue that feeds many other issues. Ick.Comment

This is hilarious. Yesterday was my birthday and my dear HB bought breathe right strips for "me" because he snores so much.
