The most amazing thing about these pics is that koalas are very hard to find.. normally they won't go near people or houses. These pics are only because of the incredible heat and at first i thought they were funny but then realised it is actually tragic as they were so desperate. So much wildlife died in the heatwave.. I got these a few days later...

Sure there are loads of forests near the GBR
But koalas & wombats are something most people never see unless in captivity.

Koala's mostly live on gumleaves which are highly toxic and rarely come down out of the trees.. much less pop down for a drink of water! These are extreme times.
