    I went to AA quite a lot but was too inhibited to get a sponsor even though some people offered to be my sponsor. I think it is a good idea. Thankfully, I also stumbled on MWO or I still would be drinking?

          I need all the help I can get Matt. I've been around AA since 1989, and was sober for 10 years once, and a year and a half from 2002-2004. Life is very different for me now and I am finding it much more difficult. My kids are grown and I am divorce. I tend to isolate which is so not healthy for me, so even though I get nervous at the meetings, I have to get out and see people or I will drink again. I also love MWO and had over 70 days sober just using MWO, but for me it is the isolation.

            Rubes!!! I have soooo missed you. I have read your posts and you sound Great!!! It looks like I will be going to FL April 1-8. I will let you know when it is definite.

              The more I drank the more I isolated. Now that I am dry I am trying very hard to connect with people and not be so protected. It is not easy as you know but it makes life better. God bless you.

                I struggle with socialising and isolation too. It can be very hard.

                  I will today Oney. My Sis was dragging me all over the mall for six hours. Ugh....Back to Internet shopping. I am one of those strange women that Hate shopping. Give me jeans and a New England Patriots shirt and I am happy.lol

                        There was a man at a meeting talking about all of his Fear the other night. I could sooo relate to what he said. I was raised to always worry about what I look like and what people think of me, and that has F__ked me up royally. Now I throw on jeans and a rock T and a bandanna and go. If anything, I want to keep the guys Away for right now.

                          You talkin' bout the dudes in the Burger King suits Matt?? LOL. New England Pats for Life. These poor ladies have had to put up with me through football season. Thank God we have a thread for it. Look forward to your joining that thread Matt.

                            Great, Sea! Let me know when and where, I'd love to try and meet you! Mat, the tornadoes jumped our little community to the next a few days ago and destroyed the home of one of the Sibley boys (twins who live next door to each other). We were lucky that out of the 9 confirmed touchdowns in our area we had just one fatality, and not many injuries, but the destruction is in the multimillions. I HATE those suckers!!!
