    Oscars!

    Anybody watching tonight?

    Who expects Slumdog to get best pic?

    What/who are your favorite nominees?

    (ahhh, watching the Oscars without wine -- will be great to remember who got best pic when I wake tomorrow morning!!)

    I love the Oscars .... kind of a freak that way
    I absolutely loved "Slumdog" ... it just got under my skin ... So I am hoping it wins Best Picture. the filmmakers are flying all the children in for the ceremony!
    I saw "The Wrestler" ... brutally depressing film but I think Mickey Rourke should win. I saw "Milk" also. And I saw "Benjamin Button." loved that too.
    Haven't seen the other films .... So, i'm rooting for "Slumdog", Rourke for best actor, and I thought Marisa Tomei was awesome too in "Wrestler" .

      Many of the nominated films haven't yet shown where I am, dammit. But I did see Benjamin and Slumdog. Speaking of which, I have the soundtrack to Slumdog - listening to it now. Quite cool. I think it is nominated too.

      I loved Slumdog but would have enjoyed it a heck of a lot more if I had not been sitting directly between the two noisiest women in a crowded theatre. Grrrr!

          Watching stars come up the red carpet now.
          OMG Kate Winslet looks stunning. AND Angelina Jolie, such a beauty.
          Sarah Jessica Parker walked up first while I was watching eTalk @ The Oscars...was she wearing contacts? Her eyes looked the same color as her eye shadow AND gown (although her gown is white it looked almost an irridescent (sp?) pale blue). Not sure I liked the effect!
          Brad Pitt is drool material :H

          One more half hour red carpet show, and on to the Oscars!

                MOW, are you joking? They have been married for a long time and have a kid. Duh.

                I cannot stand the superficialism (is that a word) of the Oscars this year when we could hardly pay our heating bill today. It is a big waste of money.

                    Yeah yeah -- I used to be a scrooge about these things. But maybe it's because I'm softening up or just lonely, but I'm enjoying seeing something on tv besides disaster and mayhem.

                        I WORKED 12 HOURS TODAY...

                        I've had nothing to celebrate...3 days AF.
                        But tonight...The Oscars!!!!

                          I enjoy the Oscars too!!! And I really enjoyed Slumdog Millionaire and am happy to see it winning so many awards. The two main actors seem so sweet... it's refreshing!
