    Actually my husband says I'm accident prone and I think I am. I have just injured myself again and I'm completely sober! My 23rd Day AF. Was storing some soft drink away - just bought heaps cause it was half price almost - and I dropped a bottle onto my elbow (good arm). Trying to catch that I also knocked it into my chin. So now I have a big lump on my elbow and a lovely graze on my chin that will most likely turn into a wonderful bruise.

      Pan, my long lost sister!!! I broke at least 6 ribs in a fall off a porch step at night, and 6 more from coughing when I had pneumonia. I climbed on a kitchen chair at our cabin to put away something high up, lost my balance, pulled the cabinet door off on me and landed in the middle of our antique kitchen table, which promptly turned over on me! My Hubs points out paint lines on the street so I don't trip. I was walking into an antique mall and didn't see the rail at the bottom of the door, pitched forward and was caught by a strange man standing inside! All Sober!!

        Laughing, laughing... Yep, we gotta be related somehow. I broke ribs falling out of bed. Broke a kitchen chair and step stool by losing balance getting curtains down. I cannot beat you with the table turning over on top of you tho. My hubby goes first down stairs so if I trip he will cushion my fall. He's actually not sure if it should be the other way around so he could catch me first.

          Oh, and I tore my rotator cuff when I was climbing up the steep bank from our trout stream. I have trained my rotties to pull me when I'm having trouble, but I fell flat and she kept pulling. I was embarrassed to tell Hubs for 2 days till he noticed I couldn't lift my arm. I have a VERY high pain threshold!

            When my leg was broken so badly I had a knee walker delivered and loaded into my car for a trip to the doc so I wouldn't have to use the crutches. It's like a scooter you put your hurt leg on, but the steering was messed up on my, and when I tried to use it in the parking lot at doc's, it took off down the hill with me and wouldn't stop! Two men finally caught me and helped me back! I told them to throw the damn thing in the back of my car. My family laughs like hell at me all the time because they know at some point I'm going down!!

                You must have a high pain threshold. I do as well, but I don't think I could fool my husband for two days. Maybe two hours...

                My two Jack Russells pull me up the steps at the beach. They at least stop when I fall flat on my face tho. They seem to think that is a lick fest.

                Anyway, Rubes, I must go. I have housework to do that takes me forever because I'm a one and a half arm person. I've also got to prune the neighbour's tree branches. Just found spider webs amongst my washing. The tree branches are getting to close to the clothes line. Not getting up on a ladder tho - not that stupid. I'll just prune what I can reach.

                It's been great talking with you. Lets do it again soon.

                      Pan, Bris vegas is 3 hrs behind us & sinney/melb is 2 hrs behind...not sure about sa & the westies.

                        Ruby and Panicked ..... I'm LMAO ..... any bones that you haven't broken between you???!

                        And I'm happy to start the thread too ...... I usually find a bit of time to have a read int eh morning while I'm having my first cup of tea, but with the longer nights I'm starting to stay in bed for longer .........

                        I've been listening to the news to hear the latest news from Victoria, but it seems to have gone off the radar here (the media have such incredibly short attention spans) ..... how are all those in Victoria??

                        Decided to knock off early in order to cycle home without having to cope with peak hour traffic. Will make up for it by doing a couple of hours work this evening. Was a great bike ride and the hills are starting to get a bit easier ......... I can now make it up them without think that I'm going to have a heart attack!! Came home and polished off half of our entire raspberry crop .... all 6 of them! :H:H Actually I'm quite pleased as we only planted the canes in November, and I really didn't expect them to fruit before next season.

                        I love this time of year for fresh vegies ........!!

                          I am never here at this hour on a week night because I am busy watching my favorite comedy show 'Hope and Faith' theme song 'Sisters'.

                          Tonight however, my Satelite TV broke down and for some strange reason I came to MWO Forum to see how people are doing and well-wish.

                          The first click, landed me here on these threads between you Ruby and you Pan. - what is the off chance I would find this exact conversation between you two. WOW what a connection in so many ways.

                          As I read these threads it was like watching visually - the two of you and your crazy mishaps OMGosh tooo funny, please forgive my lol. (I feel your pain and have been there in the moment and yet later in life the situation upon reflection, is funny).

                            Afternoon All! I'm confined to the couch with 'lady pains' (as my husband calls them) so thought I'd pop in. Ruby and Pan, what a catalogue of injuries - you beat my skateboarding son! Hi Aunty Mame and polaryzed - have I missed anyone? I'm trying to decide whether to pop over to Perth this weekend. I feel the need for time away from my men, and want to see my friend there, I'm also starting a course next week and could collect my textbooks instead of having them posted. BUT there would be a lot of socialising and drinking and I'm not totally sure I could abstain, and I so want 30 days. Hmm.

                              Rubes, Angel, Aunty, Polaryzed and Betty, forgot about the broken wrist - running home drunk and fell over going down the hill and broken leg that left me in a caliper for 6 months. I was sober for the leg tho.

                              So glad we gave you a good laugh for the arvo P.
