            Good job Zenny
Keep them hopping. LOL God (the neurologist). It is scary how many people have that perception of them, and how many of them have that self-perception. I learned the hard way that they are just humans like the rest of us.

I am simply marvelous, Seabers! Sorry your house is getting empty so fast....one needs time to prepare for these things, don't they? We have the couple moving out of our basement in a couple of weeks. That will be just in time for Spring. We have a walk-out basement with a really nice patio for BBQ and we have a small partial kitchen in the basement. It will be a good entertainment area and we already have a 48" HDTV to put down there that I am going to thoroughly enjoy. The large TV won't fit in our living room now- we need the larger space downstairs for it. I just need to look for a sofa and we'll be all set! It is really exciting for me to think of having our house back to ourselves. We were doing the couple a favor and it got out of hand.
Did you ever hear from UKSean? I wonder what is happening with him.

                    Hi Zen,
My Mom had the same surgery (at age 83) this 12/30/08. I travelled to Florida to be with her and Dad. The surgery was in Ocala and went really well. She recovered incredibly well and is doing very well now. She had a walker for a couple of days but that's it. They glued her incision together which looked weird to me but quite wonderful and less scar in the end. Mom's back is MUCH better than before and she is happy about having the surgery!! I am happy I was able to go down there and be around for about 10 days-some before surgery and some after. I am thinking about moving back to FL or GA to be near them and also to be near my granddaughters in Atlanta. I know how you feel being so far away from your Mom.....it IS tough for me too!

                      Sea,
We are getting snow right now, but it's supposed to be a high of 48F today so this won't continue very long. It's smelling like Spring outside (I am noticing smells much more now that I have dropped the cigs). They are digging near my office for a new exit ramp for I-15; all I could smell was dirt. It smelled really nice (earthy and springlike).

Zen, I was the daily (every day) type. My thoughts of trying to do without scared me to death but I did it (after I was here a couple of weeks) and never looked back!! I am a happy, non-drinker now. Krigsy

I gotta get some stuff done and get out for a walk. I can't remember the last time it hit 50 degrees here. I must take advantage of it.

Zen, I drank 8-12 beers each day spaced throughout the day(weekends were much heavier). It's when I started popping them in the morning that I started to really worry. I even had some days that I brought al into my office (wine coolers that smelled like soda and fizzed like soda). I nipped that in the bud right away when I came here. I was looking for outpatient rehab when I found this site. MWO clicked with me and within about 8 or 9 days I was off al completely. The first 24 hours was hard for me to do but once I did that I was filled with hope and the rest went along without much of a fight. Modding is not an option for me....it opens a door that leads me to a slippery slope. It also keeps the craving of alcohol ever-present. The more days I string up alcohol free, the less I think about alcohol at all. If I were to let it into my life again in any measure at all it would just start that mind chatter that I do not want or need! That's me, Zen. How about you?

Talk later, Sea. Enjoy the 50F; I will also when the temp rises a bit!
