                    it does get better in time .. as you know there is al all over the place in every store ..really i can say it doesnt bother me any more to be around it so just know its deferent for everyone..and really when it all comes down to .. is knowing who you are and what you want to be and what you want to become..

                      7 DAYS HERE, which doesnt sound a lot but it was only the saturday I had to crack and I have done that this week, so the future is very rosy.....

                        Hi All
                        Happy anniversary Rusty. 9 months and 16 days for me.
                        In regards to getting easier it has for me.I never thought the cravings would leave but they do.The thoughts about al also have left.I can be with drinkers now [normal drinkers who only have one beer or one glass of wine] and it doesn't bother me.Just as I am not a smoker I am not a drinker. It will not be at all like what you are going through the 1-45 days.

                          AF 7 months plus a week or so!

                          [CG, ditto what others said, YES the frequency and intensity of cravings, or impulses and desires to drink DO diminish over time... but you have to be prepared for something to occasionally slam you out of the blue. The key is... when that happens, don't get all wrapped up in it... shift the focus to something else, instead. Go bowling, or go online here at MWO, or something!]

                            God do I feel like Shouting today....

                            God grant me the serenity.............!!lol

                            Well I'm 35 days sober today and feeling in a much better place than I was in on Wednesday night. N/A meetings are keeping me on the straight and narrow still and for some reason I keep going back!!!

                            Have a great Sunday one and all. I'm off to tear up some cardboard boxes out in the shed ready for recycling day tomorrow. If I keep reciting the serenity prayer I may not have to think of someones head I'd like to be ripping off right now!!!lol
