Couldn't get on on Wednesday. Flat chat all day. I noticed Angel changed the name to the Downunder thread. WHY? It just gets confusing.

It isn't just for Aus and NZ you know, so I changed it back. We could all have a vote on the name as I first suggested if you like, but why change the name at all?

Geez OK OK - no need to vote on a new name, we'll just leave it as it is. I also put the wrong date on the thread just to really confuse you...honest mistake!!

Anyhoo, I watched the first episode of Underbelly, the Mr Asia story last night...was riveting, I loved it.
I'm not doing so great TBH...I really need to get my shit together.
I gotta take the 4yr old to kindy...will be back later.

Hi Starting, I need to get some AF time together I think...I just keep putting it off for fear of failing.
I broke all my rules & got drunk last night...I feel like shit today.
I'm working on a plan...I'm gonna talk to Mr Cakes 'coz I can't do it if there's booze in the house so he'll have to be on board.

Angel,you will feel SO much better once you make up your mind to do this. If you tell yourself this is what you are going to do and then there is no bargaining. You will stop giving yourself the option to drink. Thats what I did. I told myself that I wasnt going to drink and that I would deal with all the emotions as they appeared. So anxiety, anger, fear, boredom, tiredness, happiness, everything had to be dealt with sober. It got easier. There was no choice...You can do this and it will be easier with Mr Cakes help.

Have been out to the doc this morning among running a few other errands. Doc gave me some interesting info. I'm going to do a post on it, titled 'When you give up smoking...'

Angel, thanks firstly for the recipe. I assume Self Raising flour?

I agree with you, that trying to go AF with alcohol in the house is too hard. I know I would not have got this far - 30 days tomorrow - with any AL in the house. You can do it. You said the other day that you must be the only person who can't, or something like that, but if I can, you can. Believe me. I was drinking at least a litre of wine a day. Usually every day.

Underbelly is called Underbelly - A Tale of Two Cities here. It's been showing now for over a month I think.

Am going now to put a post on about what can happen when you give up smoking. I'll be here until 3pm Qld time when the dogs and I do our beach walk and swim.

Hello, my new friends. I've had a bad day or two. Lost my Willow. Everytime I talk about it I cry, so trying hard to move on, but will never forgrt her. I just gave her little 'sister', Tinkerbelle, a trim around her eyes. I can't stand for her to be out of my sight now, I'm so worried about my girls. Bad news from my doc today. I have appts. Thu, Fri, and Mon. VERY tired of this sickness crap.

So sorry Rubes. I wasn't on yesterday, so I only just read and sent you my condolences. I don't want to know the details, I really don't. It would haunt me. But I am so, so sorry. I know how I would feel if anything happened to my girls.

Too much to go into, but basically, my ankle and foot will never heal correctly, so I'll have a limp. Not too bad unless I'm tired or walking a lot. Tomorrow I see a pain specialist; Friday an MRI; Monday, ultrasounds and compression tests of my legs. I've already been to the Orthopedic Surgeon and had bloodwork done. Then I just have to get my annuals with my dermotologist and OB/GYN, and back to my neurologist for all the results. I'm REALLY tired of doctors. One good thing: I don't have to wait in waiting rooms anymore - they take me right in! Small consolation.

Well, what can I say to all of that? Not much. Must be hard dealing with all that and coping with the loss of Willow as well.

If it makes you feel any better, you are not alone in the healing stakes. I was told last Friday that I will never have full use of my arm again either. Not much we can do about it, so we'll just have to put up with it, I guess.

i have to remind myself to keep logging onto this great thread. I understand where you are with AL angelcakes, I did so well when I first came here but blew it badly last weekend. Hubby has now agreed to go AL this week and this weekend to help me out. Sorry to hear about the loss of willow.

Lovely weather in WA today. Just back from the gym, feeling tired and sore but have a 4 year old to keep amused.

But Ruby ..... thinking of you - sounds like things are really hard for you at the moment.

And Angel ...... definitely much easier when there is no alcohol in the house!! Uncle Mame pretty supportive on that front although he has taken to buying much more ice-cream :H
