I've given things a lot of thought today, and since my FIL is an old, ignorant, bastard, I guess I shouldn't waste my strength and energy hating him. He could never understand what he did. But, as I've told others, I won't hesitate to slap his old ass in a nursing home (preferably state run) if he sneezes twice!!!

I just read the whole horrible story, my friend Ruby. I can't tell you how badly I feel for you. I hope the love I'm sending out reaches you somehow. I can't imagine such a terrible loss. Lovely little Willow has a place in your heart and will always live there.

I remember when I lost my best cat ever, Sparky. I thought the hole in my heart would never heal. But with time it did, and now my family and I remember and talk about Sparky with both humor and fondness. Remember that someday this will be easier.

Good for you for not crawling into the bottle. I know that took lots of guts. You are surely an MWO hero for that.

Again, thank you dear people for your messages. I can't tell you how much they have helped me. Yesterday was a mix between tears and fury, and I saw the place little Will died. Right now I can't get the image of her in her little pink suede sherpa jacket that last dayout of my head. I know I'm beating myself up, so I'm trying to get on. You have been my crying shoulder, and I thank you again.

Hi Rubes, just read the post about lil Willow, OMG, I am so sorry to hear. Hope you feel better soon.

I just want to say, I had a similar experience a number of years back, only the pet was my BGF's cat and I was the one who let the her outside not realizing she would not return. My friend never forgave me nor did she ever speak to me again. To this day when I think of her (my friend) I still have a pank of grief because I was the one who let the little cat outside. (We never found out the kitties fate, I prayed someone found her).

Not only did I lose the little cat, I also lost 'my best girl friend'. If I had it to do over, I'D Still Have My Best Friend . . .

Last Post from me. I have to say THANK YOU again, because you, my friends, have held my head above water this week. I love you all, for you care, compassion, love of animals, and focus on sobriety, which we need to take care of our little friends. I'm still dealing with my grief, and the grief of my other two little girls, a 4# Yorkie and a Gawd Knows HowMuch She Weighs Jack 'Ass' Terrior. They do know, that Will is missing, and we're handling them as well as our grief. Thank you all SO MUCH. If you're not an animal lover, it's hard to understand, but little Will will be with me forever, and as my 8-yr-old g'daughter told me, when we die, she'll come running to us, with her big ears flopping!!! Love you good people!!!!!!
