Lots of people dont Oney. the step 4 is a difficult one for some, and they dont do it, but for me, its vital in my recovery, and for me to build my relationship with my parents. Without it, the past and the resentfullness and anger will always be there, buried deep down.

Oney, My dad was a 6'10 mean drunken cop who hurt me deeply and never even acted like he had done anything wrong.He died young so I didn't get the chance to call him on it. If he were alive today I sure would !!!I have written endless letters and read them out loud and have gotten spirit messages from other mediums from him...but it's not the same...
I vote that you tell your dad about how his drinking hurt you when you were younger and then it will give him the opening that he may feel like he needs to apologize. I know that isn't how he is supposed to do it but it is better that living in silence about the whole thing...isn't it ???

i did get a reading from a medium last summer at Lilydale who I had never met. She came to me and said I have a Bob and a Bobbie here and they say that you married the nicest man on planet earth and that they are very proud of you...My dad was named Robert and my mom was Barbara (Bobbie)...that meant alot to me and Will.
