You certainly did Oney. Your kids want for nothing and they KNOW how much there mum adores them..many people who had been through what you have would have repeated the same mistakes and patterns your parents did...

I get sick to my stomach when I see some of the episodes were the kids of alcoholic are hurt so badly...
There but for the grace of GOD go I...I know that I was not emotional always there and I didn't do things the way I would do them today BUT...My bad drinking problem wasn't until the kids were mostly grown and away from home.

Oney, thats what I thought, but I went through it with a counsellor, that helped me. I wouldnt have wanted to go through it with my mum.

Oney, It is there inside and effects you even if you don't talk about it. I wrote letters to get it out of me...Maybe that could help you heal..You can share them with me anytime you want.
Sometimes I wish my kids would talk to me about my drinking. When I have brought it up they say that they only saw me drink wine once in awhile...I know they saw more than that.

I think if your mum could say she was sorry youd be able to leave it behind, its very unfair of her to bury her head in the sand , pretend it never happened and leave it all unacknowleged

She might not be well...Mentally ill people can't face themselfs..how was her relationship with her parents ??I get the feeling she was abused??

I am not worried about her future...she has lived most of her life and will have to make her own choices ...but i care very much that you heal from the traumas so you can be the BEST YOU...happy, healthy and empowered to love life. i will help if you want or stay out of it...just know that I CARE !!
