The easiest thing to do would be to choose a charity between us and then get people to donate via the web if they want to. The only thing is we dont really want to advertise ourselves as a bunch of alkies do we????

I know a lot of charities give you your own web space...then you can put a piccy up and a message and peeps donate to that. We could give ourselves a group name I guess.....Desperate Housewives??

Yes I think it would be a good idea One2, there are so many good charities it is hard to pick, I know at the time the mini-marathon was suggested it was in response to that awful case of the abuse to that baby in the UK, maybe something for cruelty to children or possibly for addiction awareness/treatment, I am open to any suggestions

I'll be making a donation to the chosen charity that I believe is STILL the NSPCC? other than that I'll sponsor anyone who's running/walking from MWO 1p a mile (sounds fair does it not?!!!!!lol). Is someone in charge of collecting the donations from here in order to make ONE large donation to the charity?

Missed the last few posts before mine. i thought the charity was already chosen after the BabyP incident in UK. I thought that's why the marathon was being run by members.

Have to log off for awhile, people just calling at the house - feck - place is a mess and wasn't expecting them. I am happy to go with whatever charity is decided upon, they are all good causes. Will check in later

pennies, sheckles, EUROS.....doesn't matter..... no bunch of alkies/addicts is getting my money to go spend on booze/drugs. They're worse than dem homeless people selling the Big Issue in my eyes. Bloody Scroungers the lot of em!!
