    Buried my cat today

Hi my heart so goes out to you..i am currently sat again with my 17 year old cocker spaniel who is really ill.. i dont want him to "go" on his own through the night it 1.30am here...i only lost my two year old springer a couple of months ago..i know how much it hurts..but my he had a lovely life with you getting to 17..and in time those memories will comfort you although the pain changes it never goes..but we dont get to keep them forever..thats the deal we make..stay strong x
p.s i always talk to lilly when im in the garden she is buried under the hammock
When you can look a thing in the eye,
    Acknowledge that it exists,
Call it exactly what it is,
And decide what role it will play in your life,
    Then my beloved,
You have taken the first step toward your freedom.

So very sorry for your loss. I did not read each post so forgive me if someone already suggested going to this link:

It has helped me when I have been in your situation.

            Again, I am so sorry.

So sorry. I love animals way more than I like people. Maybe that is wrong, but they are so innocent.

So sorry Flying for your loss - I had 2 cats in the UK and thankfully my parents adopted them when I came here - I saw them and had cuddles whenever I went back and knew they were so very well loved. When I heard that they had died (2 years ago, old age) I still cried even tho' I have not lived with them for 10 years! We just love them fluffy faced darlings!

                Take care

oh im so sorry too, i had to put down my 1 year old yesterday, due to having puss/fluid in his little lungs.
Id prefer a human to die before a cat. there companionship, nothing comes close to it..

I feel your pain least he had a great life. and knew you loved him dearly..

I am so sorry! Their love it totally unconditional... I lost my little sweet kitty in our house fire a couple of years ago. Tragic. Really miss her cuddled on my lap in the morning while I drank my coffee and watched the news before work. I believe they know how much we love them, and how much we miss them. Hugs, Best

My daughter and I spent the afternoon digging a grave and brought home a beautiful purple willow tree to put over the grave....." it has catkin" the garden shop guy had to say.....it was meant to be.....

anyway, i did not keep up my normal af weekday norm, and felt like i needed to come here for a confession.....i ????needed???? the red wine???? don't know if that is true, but the afternoon was as wonderful as possible, but this time of strife is not my best moment to excel in AF ways.....thank you for listening......very sad and want to know how to deal with these times of stress better in the future in af ways....very hard indeed.......
I do understand...I just passed my beloved St. Patrick's birthday and death day...march 17th. and then my baby brother just died, days later...
St. Patrick was born under our bed on St. Patricks day..All we could see was a pink tongue wagging out from his Ma Ma back side for almost 2 hrs. We were ready to rush her to the vets but she finally popped him out...he was the child that my love and I can never have. 3 yrs. later we were planning a Birthday party with his litter mates when a neighbor saw his wet drowned body picked up by the garbage truck. The neighbors had drowned him because black cats are "bad luck"...he was sooo much more than a CAT...Patricks passing was almost as hard as my brothers passing...I miss them so much and feel that the world is kinda empty right now. I am in such deep grief that I can hardly keep breathing...I pray that you find a place of peace about this...17 yrs. of love ...you will always be together in spirit !!
I believe that animals often come back into new bodies quit quickly after death to reunite with those that they love. I have been waitng for a kiiten to come looking for us and I hope the samething will happen for you !!! Blessings...and I wish you PEACE !!!
