Annie....we have all been, or still are exactly where you are right now.
Some of us are still fighting AL(cohol) face to face daily, and some have been able to spend some time a little further away...get a break from the abuse we impose on ourselves.
This is such an amazing place.

I see a woman who wants SO much to be the terrific woman she CAN be ...a loving, sexy, dynamic wife, an involved, loving mother, and a kind empathetic human being....and SOBER.

I don't know who I see in the mirror anymore. For a few days it's me, the person I remember .... The one I loved, respected, admired....

Then it's the one I hate... tired, bloodshoot eyes, pale, bags under eyes and a mess trying to fool the world I'm ok for "today".

it's ugly sometimes, but I have faith somewhere at some point.
