    Dear Gateway,

I have no idea but wanted to wish you well on your surgery. Personally, I can't take Vicodin . . . remember Linda Blair in the exorcist? Well, took one pill one time and felt like i must have done the 360 head turn while completely green! After hysterectomy, I opted for Motrin when the doc offered me Vicodin! Great anti inflamatory effects, which helps stop the pain.

    Wishing you a running recovery!
    Hugs, Mary

Hi Gateway! For me, hydrocodone, works well for my pain. I can take a 1/2 of a 7.5 occassionally and it makes my 'mood" better too. Just be careful not to exceed doses as pain meds are very addictive. I know what you mean Mary about some pain meds after surgery, oxycodone nearly made me totally NUTS, and morphine severe headaches in the hospital. All drugs have their place "temporarily". Good ol' ibuprophren or advil is also good. Best wishes on a speedy recovery!!! CJ
