She lives a 6hr. drive from here so a simple "lunch" is out. I called and woke Jamie out of bed. He said he would go if she wants him too (he is afraid she is embarrassed by him) They are VERY TRADITIONAL CHRISTIAN RELATIVES. That is very sweet, that he would offer, considering he just went thru the same mess that i did. So that's the next call. I wonder why she doesn't fly up with her father...could be trouble in paradise?? That would seem like the ideal answer to me ??
Thank you all for being my sounding board. It really helps when life comes at you in unexpected ways, to have friends to help guide you thru the fog !!!

She is giving me a hissy fit...Like a 3yr. at the candy counter...
Does this ever bring back memories....YICKS !!!
I am handling it OK and I think I will let her calm down ...maybe then she will call me back ?? She hung up on the phone SCREAMING at me...can you believe it ??? And I am OK...Thanks Guys.

Evie dear, I totaly agree with the others. While you daughter will probably be miffed you won't go with her, I'd let her know how happy you are for the invitation, and that any other time when your own feelings weren't so raw you'd be honored to stand by her during such a sad time. You've come up with some wonderful alternatives for her, and I hope she takes advantage of them, and you are able to rebuild your relationship. I maybe wouldn't mention how busy your work is right now since she might pick up on that as a inferrence she's less important than your business, and reconnecting now is bound to be a tender experience for you both. My daughter is even jealous of my dogs! You wouldn't be any good to her if your not at your best and strongest self emotionally. Take care of yourself, and be well.

Holy crap......we are in for the weather.....60 mph winds and blowing ice right now.....son with stb ex at the movies and daughter with friend and mom at the mall 70 miles away....toward the worst of it.

The calves that are already here will be fine but we have 2 to go and the low pressure usually forces birthing.....This storm was not supposed to hit until midnight tonight so I was going to cut them off into the barn at chore time but I dont think I could stand in the wind and ice....let alone...see to cut them and my horse would be crazy in this wind....they are on their own now.....hate that but I cant kill myself to save them

I will be praying for ya REDDY, my horse farm was near Buffalo NY so I understand animals and weather...Most foals would be on the ground by now (we planned early birthing for show reasons).

Hi Ya Zen, I was in Naples for Andrew...that was scary...
We were on our honeymoon in a tourmaline mine in California (90ft. down) when a earthquake hit....Don't fool with MOTHER NATURE !!!
