          Susan

Just read your message once more... and yes ' ALCOHOL IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN MY LIFE '
Yet I am a liar, because I have a husband and 2 Jack Russers and a horse - ... So where do they fit into this ' scheme of things ' ?

So No it Isn't, yet I intend to beat it with the help, and happy stories of the wonderful people here.

          Please help.

NO Bambino! Alcohol CAN NOT be the most important thing in your life.
It is YOU! Then hubby and the russels and the horsie. Ya got it all mixed up. Even if you are a liar. And in the scheme of things you come first then they all will be the happiest and healthiest.

              Advice

              Hi all,

funny I didn't realize when I first started the program and was on abs, I sort of made excuses too much work, other plans all kinds of things without really looking at the fact that what I was turning down was the alcohol driven evenings. Guess I was protecting myself without realizing it.

When I was going to a business event, I found myself turning down drinks with things like: wine has been giving me a headache, alcohol, well my stomach hasn't handled that well for awhile etc.

I am glad you made the decision not to go, Kathy is right on with find activities like a movie or breakfast or lunch out, something that you don't drink at. Everyone else has quite a bit of wisdom here.

Hurray for you being here and asking for help! You are doing wonderfully!!
              Hugs,
              Mary
