Hi
Hello..I just wanted to check in with you all. Probably dont remember me as ive not posted at all lately, just log on and lurk about for a while. im still fooling myself by modding....I know its not really the way forward for me, (I'm a binge drinker) but nothing too awful has happened yet so I continue down this path until I meet a stumbling block...hope not! lol Im back on the wine and my quantity is creeping up. My hub says "Dont buy it...youre on the slippery slope again" but I do buy it. I dont know....(big sigh)......I just like drinking...its as simple as that. Ive had no serious hangovers yet which is a little worrying considering I will have a bottle or more most nights....my tolerance must be good and my liver bad. Anyhow, this was not supposed to be a "down" post....just feel the need to make contact with someone....as you are the only real people who understand. Thanks for listening......Bells XXXXXTags: None

Hi
I remember you Bella. It took me along time to stop kidding myself that drinking was a possible option for me. It almost had to kill me before I would believe that I JUST CAN'T DRINK. Once I accepted that as a fact of my life......... everything started to get better. I was here for you before and I am here for you now. Let me know if I can help.sigpicEyes on the PRIZE, a SOBER Future !!!

Hi
Bella,
You are like us, and so you do understand what we are and how we do not drink the same way as other people. That is only a part of who we are, but, every time we drink, it becomes the most of who we are. That does not have to be the reality, any more than it is our truth. But every love, joy, talent, compassion, insight, inspiration, spontaneity and unique power we own or can create is compromised, every time we drink.
We feel the bottle fills us. It does not. Rather, we empty our best selves into it, then throw it away.
Accept who you are -- a drinker who loves to drink, but mustn't -- in favor of everything else that you are and can be.

Hi
Hi Bella,
Welcome back!
I found MWO in early February but it took me until near the end of March to finally accept the truth about myself. I just cannot drink. End of story!!
I am now 3 weeks completely AF and very, very grateful. I thank God and everyone on the wesite for helping me to 'see the light'. I needed that final push, you know, to just get a grip.
Hope you stick with us, it's totally worth it and so are you.
Take care,

Hi
Bella! Our beautiful, Bella! So glad you are checking in. Cloven put it eloquently - so accurate. I know that I cannot drink alcohol like other people and be my best self. So, I choose not to drink at all now. It is good you are here with us. Hugs, Best"It wasn't all I wanted, but all I could stand!":bigwink: Alcohol free since April 8, 2008
