Overslept and missed the PM. Evie, you'll be in my thoughts all day, till I hear how the visit goes. Don't try too hard. Relax, and enjoy those children. I know they will enjoy you. Later gators.

Evie, prayers are with you for the meeting with your daughter...all will be fine I am sure...
I DID IT AND I'M HERE TO TELL ABOUT IT!
Thanks for the well wishes, Start! You guys are going to have SO much fun in June...I wish I could come and join you...The energy that is around is phenomenal. It is all positive energy and it makes you want to go faster. I walked the whole way but at a good pace (3.3 miles/hr). I finished in 55 mintes which was good; now I want to actually train and beat my time (maybe even run part of my next course). I feel great and it's still only 10am here. Krigs

I came in close to the end of the line but I know there were hundreds behind me so that is good. Have a great day with your daughter and her family! I know it will go well, Evie. Just relax and let it happen...be yourself and all will be GOOD! Looking forward to your post later. Krigs

Hi, Sea! Also a lifelong Sox fan, from here in Marblehead on Massachusetts coast. Don't you think they can serve as our metaphor? Drinking: "The Curse of the Bambino" (in which we were the bambinos). 21st century: Our Time.

Oh, and: I'm guessing that your daughter is so used to having you as a moral punching bag for her own distress, lashing out at you is, for now, her reflex anytime she feels empty: times when we hit the bottle, instead!

Grew up here from ages 3 - 12, then left Brideshead for, of all places, Schenectady NY. Returned here and bought first home last year. Um...how do I open a thread?
