Does anyone believe in ghosts?
I live in a 500 year old house. Last night i got very drunk and depressed....and id like to say THANKYOU to those of u who listened to my drivel in CHAT....but i must have passed out eventually after talking to the samaritans for god knows how long. I was then woken by our house alarm giving off a warning beep and then a picture came crashing down infront of me....then a tile in our conservatory broke off the wall. I panicked and slipped on my own foot and fell on my cockix bone...so im hungover and in pain...lovely! My dear dear husband still loves me though even though he knows im not happy with something that happened to me in my childhood....I must stop buying the bottles of wine. I HAVE to address this issue of abuse I went through...Im just SO bloody scared. I dont want to address this issue. I dont want to think about it. When i drink, i think about it.
I had to vent to you all because I'm afraid. Anyway, i feel better now. Thanks again. Bella XXXTags: None

Does anyone believe in ghosts?
Bella, As you know, I am a spiritualist so my idea of ghosts is different from most.It could be that higher guidance is speaking to you thru physical phenomena. That is a normal occurrence's. I am not sure that it is the right time to go back and dig deeply into past issues. it seems much more important to stay focused on the point at hand today...which is how to stay sober. When the time is right to address the past issues please look into the technique called EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprogramming). There are plenty practitioners, just goggle it. This is a rapid way to redefine how you look at passed traumas. I have used it with great success for post traumatic stress of war vets and incest victums...etc etc. I teach a simple class in how to use it for yourself...but again I think sobriety has to come first...Without that nothing else will help much. have you tried meds ?/ I spoke with you before about how much they have helped me !!!sigpicEyes on the PRIZE, a SOBER Future !!!

I don't know about ghosts per say, but I certainly do believe in spiritual presences and spiritual messages that can be sent to us by whatever our power of the universe may be. Everything happens for a reason. Look at your experience and see what it may have been teaching you. I agree with Evie, your mind must be clear to benefit from these experiences.Rest in Peace, Bear. We miss you.

Bella, I feel so deeply for your pain. I DO understand! I believe that we exist beyond our physical lives as our "non physcial" self. It's hard to know what happened. Evie probably has a pretty good handle on that. We seem to use alcohol to self medicate ourselves into numbness, so that we can temporarily escape the pain of dealing with/remembering/acknowledging painful and traumatic occurances from our past. Believe me when I tell you, that everything looks better, less bad, less scarey - since I am sober. One step at a time. I ditched the booze then pragmatically addressed issues, one at a time. I counselled for my childhood trauma for a decade before I quit drinking. But once I stopped drinking, I spoke with my therapist a couple of times and it has been put away, for me. I hope your bum feels better soon. Hugs."It wasn't all I wanted, but all I could stand!":bigwink: Alcohol free since April 8, 2008

Does anyone believe in ghosts?
Hello Bella,
I do believe that we are not alone. I too live in an old 100 plus year old farm house and we have had some weird things happen here. I'm sorry that you are going through a tough time right now and in so much pain... I just read what Evie.Lou said to you and it makes alot of sense to me as I also have had such a cruddy childhood that now effects me... It sucks and it isn't fair to me or my family that I'm like this at times. Be well and know we all care, xxx

Hi Bella. I'm glad you came to chat last night and talked. I think that what everyone has said is good advice. If you're going to delve into issues it is best to have a clear mind. Whatever method you choose I'm sure will be worth it. :l Be well, bella.
There is a chiropractic adjustment that can be done on the coccyx if pain persists. It isn't pleasant but is necessary if it is misaligned. Sit on a donut cushion and ice it for now.sigpic

Our house was built before 1840, and we've had other residents since day one. They are just part of the house, not a threat, not scary except late at night when I'm alone and they decide to keep up their heels. There are so many mysteries in heaven and earth.........I just enjoy them.sigpic

I do not believe in ghosts...but, I do believe in you!!!! You shared lastnight in chat your pain from the past....I encourage you to seek some help professional help. Your pain can not be erased but you can learn how to cope with it. I am not unlike you...would drink to erase the pain. But Bella me and you both know that makes the pain so so so much worse. You can not cope inside a wine bottle. I love you!!!!! I so hope you find a way to heal.Forever loved, forever missed Papa Bear

Bella, I didn't address your abuse issue, since I don't know anything about it, but I too was a victim of childhood abuse, and finally talking about it was the most cathartic, freeing experience of my life. Did you know that and overwhelming number of women alcoholics/addicts WERE sexually or physically abused? Do we see a pattern? Anyway, in my case, fixing one made the other easier to deal with. I wish you love, peace, and strength on your journey.
