"We measure success and depth (of relationships) by length of time, but it is possible to have a deep relationship that doesn't always stay the same."
Well, I'm a bit sleepless, so here I am. Whether it's because we were out later than usual, or because I'm (still) NF, or just that my crankshaft isn't cranked, I don't know. I was going to the cabin tomorrow, but Hubs asked me, nicely, not to, and since that was SO unusual, I acquisced! I'm leaving Sunday instead. I then told him that I would stay home but he would HAVE to listen to me without complaining or moaning, and I presented several things that had been on my mind. He was NOT happy, but couldn't do much! LOL I've got to confine my time here to certain times, I've realized that, so I can get more done. I've also got a small exerciser underneath my computer desk, and I can already feel the dif in my thighs. I NEED to regain strength in my legs. I hope everyone takes today to think of ways to think of new ways to use your newfound time and energy since become AF (or more AF) to renew your old passions, hobbies, studies, sports, etc. My new challenge to myself is to "GREEN" our life as much as possible, and I challenge you ALL to do the same. It's a GOOD feeling! Have a WONDERFUL AF DAY!!!!!!!!!!!:goodjob::H:l

Good morning rubes. What a great post to start off the day.
Went to a getting back to work meeting yesterday, and seeing someone on wed to see where I go next. A step in the right direction. Felt a little restless yesterday and getting back into work is now a priority for me.
My sponser is back today, after being in Ireland for 2 weeks. Will be good to speak to him.
Have fun today ladies and gents. X

      Hi Rubes and Cy.
Rubes that was a lovely post to start the day!
I see you are getting stronger all the time these days. Stronger and healthier too.
Yes, for me, I want to get back to work too, but it has to be something I am passionate about and that is working in the addiction field. I know it wont be easy to have a complete career change at my age (45) and go from a job in IT to re-train and finally do something worthwhile. Its scary too on so many levels. Will I be any good at it? Will I get a chance to do this? Am I tough enough? Can I survive without earning while I train? The list is endless. But I have a gut feeling this is what I want to do...so I am keeping that dream alive.

Cy. good for you on your moves to return to work, a big step, but one that I am sure will help you.

            Morning all!
Great post Ruby. Got me thinking....
Yesterday was a good day for me. I was inspired to sign up for an Open University course; something I have wanted to do for years but never quite got round to. All it took was a five minute phone call and it was done. It a science course that starts in October and could eventually lead to a degree in 4 or 5 years.
My grandson's first birthday is tomorrow. Time is surely flying.

                    Thanks folks.
I'm really looking forward to getting my brain in gear again. It's been a while. I hope it's not too befuddled by the ravages of time and aal the booze I poisoned it with.

Morning Troops, lovely thoughts to start the day and everyone is getting so healthy in so many ways. it just feels wonderful to be part of such a positive supportive group. LOVE YOU GUYS !!!
I actually slept until almost 7am today. I am making progress in retraining my brain. My normal time has been 5:30 and enough is enough of that already.
Speaking of retraining brains, yesterday we put new outdoor speakers in the garden so that we can play music to our plants. I was looking thru our Cd's to see what would be a good choice and come across...Mozart's "tune your brain"....I played it on low to them all night. I must go out this morning and see if their brains are properly tuned.......LOL and ask what selection they would like for today. My middle name is "Jerry Baker" if you hadn't guessed already !!!!!!!!!!!
