The Next day thread Friday 24th April

Mr Cakes is accepting the job in Sydney today...and they want him ASAP so it looks like we;ll be shifting out of here in 4 weeks...yikes!
I'm a bit sad about it...i wish we could afford this house (complete with harbour views & on the bush)in Sydney it'd be awesome. But alas, we'll be moving back into our 2 bedroom apartment...all 4 of us!! We'll manage.

    Gym now

Morning Angel, and all to come.
Wow Angel, the big move again? Yep, it must be a little sad. Are you in Auckland? A beautiful city, i have fond memories of a couple of little trips there. Oh well, Sydney is beautiful too, non? Hope the little ones settle in ok, and great you have friends and family there etc. Celebrate, or commiserate, or both, with a big passionate session of the darkest of arts!
Have a great day all....Friday, Yay!!!

      Morning Angel & Mr G,

One of my Tattslotto fantasies is to be rich enough to have a harbour-view townhouse in Sydney that I could use a few times a year. I think Sydney is one of the greatest walking cities in the world. Hang on - if I'm that rich, why not just cave up at The Hilton for a few days ... doh!

Mr. G - your def. sounding very contented with life. It's good to see.

Water will be delivered tomorrow - the promised overnight rain was nothing more than a drizzle. Last night was Bogong Moth night - dog, they're big buggers.

POET'S Day! Have a good one and keep yourselves nice.

Tawny I cannot imagine what it must be like to be running out of water....or spending the night with a Bogong moth.....but I hope you;re OK anyway...

Hi Angel, G, Tawny and Oney!

Angel - a move, how exciting! I spent yesterday opening boxes from our last move a year ago. They were full of crap that no one has missed and books the boys have grown out of. Be ruthless!

I've just joined a Gym that has all the Les Mills classes - might do Bodybalance - am going to spy on a Pump class....

Tawny - am going to look up Bogong moths - I don't mind Bats, but not keen on things with antennae.

G - are you making any music at the minute? I was inspired to switch on the electic piano yesterday but couldn't find the power chord - which is why I started opening the boxes......

Oney - I'm with you on the sleep fairy, was having baby dreams again last night, hope you do get some rest.

AL wise I'm doing fine - have decided not to obsess, could probably say I'm moderating.

Have a great day all - How's Pan?

            Morning All.

I am with Betty and Oney with the bad sleep this week, too many scary stupid dreams.

Angel, a move must be so exciting, and I am sure that the kids will find it easy, especially with family nearby to spoil them.

Mr G, glad to hear that AF life suits you. How long have you been AF?

Tawny, where on earth do you live? Those moths are almost as big as the bats.

School holidays and I am been driven demented. The kids get 2 outings a day, but still find enough time to drive each other crazy. Off to the gym for my 2 hour respite before I spend the rest of the day shopping and ironing clothes and cooking a large meal.

Ok.......... at Tawny's suggestion I am dipping my toe in........Hello to you all wont name names as my biggest stress is forgeting someone.
              Thank goodness it's Friday.
DH and I have decided to stay home for Anzac Day. We will watch the march on TV. Is anybody like me in that I get really emotional & teary watching those old diggers marching with such pride?
Stay safe and have a great weekend.

Good to see you here Shas!

Wally - we also commemorate Rememberance Day on 11/11 - and have the symbolic poppies. We have a minute's silence at 11am on 11/11 - I think this may be universal.

Anzac (Australia New Zealand Army Corp) Day commemorates the landing of Oz and Kiwi soldiers at Gallipoli. The origin of the word "digger" is not certain but usually applies to a private soldier. The Australian Light Horse Infantry is certainly worth a google - they played a huge part. I'm with Shas - it's a pretty emotional event.

                  Hi all
Angel - congrats on the new job and the move. Lucky you to go from one beautiful place to live to another equally beautiful place to live! I love Sydney such a great city just a bit too hot for me to live there so Auckland suits me just fine.
hi Shas - I love that dory quote - finding nemo was such a good movie I especially loved the bit with the Ozzie seagulls going mate mate mate...

Tawny - I'd love an old house on the water in Balmain as my city house...the other would be a character filled old place on the north coast of NSW. And throw in a weekender up at Waley or Avalon or Palm Beach. There's a great walk near our house actually.
Betty - I love bodybalance...but you'll be celebrating the dark art with us in no time. mwua ha ha ha....
Moving house is a great way to get rid of 'stuff' (the scourge of modern society) Betts...I am ruthless.
Ezz - I am excited...I spoke to the folks today - they're having kittens they're so excited. Ugh, moving back to the same city as my family...feckin' drama drama drama sometimes. It's probably not as bad as I remember though.
Tawny - you reminded me everythings bigger over there...here we have tiny little cockroaches. At home a roach flies at me and knocks me to the ground...or I throw my shoe at it & it picks the thing up & throws it back at me *shudder*. And I'll have to be really careful walking through long grass again...and huntsmen spiders...and, and....
Going Strong - I'm thinking about doing the dawn service here...would be nice to do in NZ (they don't REALLY hate us)but I'm like you, I start to well up at the thought and I can see myself explaining to my kids why I'm bawling "no, Mummy's OK really..."
Hi Wally & Boozy - Boozy sending you a PM. I love Finding Nemo...it's played often in our house.

If I won lotto a house with heating would do just fine. Struggling to get wood order, in fact I have completely failed as no-one is answering their phones.

Kids are still driving me insane. Another week before they go back to school. I feel sorry for my daughter, Mr 4 has completely mastered the art of being the irratating little pesky brother.
