    London Calling...

    Hey MWOers,
What I miss most about the old AA days is the companionship/friendship and being able to look into the faces of the people with the same struggle.

So...here I am, on an online support group and I know very few faces and no voices.

It would sure be nice to meet someone.

Especially someone with an English accent!

No prejudice here, it's just that London's calling to our hearts for a visit and we're coming for a quick visit this year - good date for a get together would be 9/24 or 25th or 26th, 2009.

We welcome any tips for sightseeing and any responses for a meeting somewhere if any London based folks would like to meet and get together. Was fun to read about a group of Irish folks meeting for a run...so...sure would be nice to meet some London folks for a
    run in.

    Hugs,
    Eve11
    & Adam12
p.s. (he's the one without a problem...my name came as a fluke and one day he said he was Adam 12...guess there was a U.S. t.v. show with that name...so Adam follows Eve and 12 follows 11...funny how life works!

What a great idea for a holiday - just the two of you and perfect timing before he "turns" into an evil teen as they all do and wouldnt be seen dead anywhere with their Mamas. I had a holiday with son when he was 12 year old two years ago and we went to Dubai, London, Ireland and Spain and we just had the absolute best time ever. Some great memories and we still talk about all the good time we had. I would say the Science museum is definitely worth a visit and the Tower of London. Madame Tusauds is a bit of a rip off. Of course the parks are wonderful but you probably wont get him to walk very far (if he has early onset of teenage fatigue) so bring/hire some roller blades or hire a bike so you can move around without the whingeing. Failing that find an internet cafe near your hotel and leave him there with money and you go walking! My son even learnt some essential spanish namely "pepsi an piza bacon".

        Thanks for London calling response

        BH & Ronnie,

        Thanks for your response.
        :thanks::thanks:
BH - Sorry but I dislike your name boozehag...just dont *see* you that way...so I have to call you BH and would like to encourage you with this stage in your recovery to upgrade your name...your signature can remind everyone you were formally boozehag...
        I love you sis!

I need to clarify. Adam 12 is hubby. You didn't catch in my post when I said he doesn't have a problem. It would be a tragedy if a 12 year old did.

What's ironic is we do have a 12 year old.

Anyway, BH, I may look you up one day in NZ...don't be surprised if that's our adventure in a year or two.

Ronnie, don't know you as well as BH...but I'm open to being a friend to anyone and I appreciate your reply.

Needed to clarify however for upcoming posts so everyone knows it's two adults that are looking for travel/sightseeing info and a possible get together.

        Hugs and blessings to all.
