The Next day thread Sunday 26th April
Hi All.
Really struggling with the urge this afternoon. Didn't help that I ended up in a pub, was the driver so had a cold can of coke. Maybe it is time to go for a run. I am definitely not going to give in and drink though. And with it being a long weekend here I will have to struggle through tomorrow also.

Went for my run, got rid of the urge to drink but my legs are locked up. I am looking forward to putting a big 0 on the drink tracker for today. Hubby, who was supporting me had 2 pints of guinness, lucky for me I can't stand the stuff.

Hi All
So glad you checked in Pan, I know what you mean with the major hangover - hope it feels better now?
Ezz - well done on being the driver - I hope you get your run in.
Re being positive - try and get 'Happy Go Lucky' a UK film directed by Mike Leigh, really shows the contrast between negative and positive mindsets.
Just a quick dash in and out - am going to have a go at cooking Tempura and then settling down to watch the Grand Prix.

P.S I had a good night out AF last night - it can be done! Woo hoo.Proud to be SLIGHTLY SLOVENLY.:wavin:

GO EZZ!
Yep, Grand Prix much more exciting this year - it's the only 'sport' I watch. Am hoping to get to the Singers night race his year - thought we'd let them have a trial run last year before we put in an appearance......
And Angel, smoochies much appreciated!

Hi guys.
On a major downer now. Have just realised that my kids are not entitled to british citizenship because I am a female. They are also not entitled to Irish citizenship because my parents decided to have my in the UK before returning to Ireland. I mean, what type of rule excludes mothers from passing their citizenship to their kids, but men can. My husband is from an independent british commonwealth island is not allowed to pass any citizenship onto my kids. I guess I am lucky that they are Aussie but I am still annoyed to just discover this rule.

Ah Tempura - Mr Sweats decided he couldn't do deep fried, so we're going to have seafood with a Polenta/Parmesan crust - like grown up chicken Nuggets/Fishfingers. Will try the Tempura another time. Was going to use really chilled fizzy water. Mr Sweats still doing my head in, he usually travels a lot more - he's in my space too much Lol!
I've just had a call from him (thought he was grocery shopping) and I quote
B - 'Hello?'
Mr B - 'They have red and blue now so what do you want?'
B *furiously racking brain trying to think of a food that comes in red or blue* 'sorry, not with you'
Mr B - 'RED OR BLUE?"
B- 'RED OR BLUE WHAT??'
Mr B 'DOG BEDS OF COURSE'
B - ?????? Ah - he's called to IKEA to pick up new dog beds, my Crystal ball is cloudy today 'You choose Darling'.
The crosses (men) we have to bear.........

Hiya Ezz. Are you absolutely sure about this? Have you looked at all the possibilities, legislation, etc? There's probably heaps of law to wade through on this. I'm no lawyer, and have no idea, but surely there's something that can be done here? (great going on day 7 is it?.....and try not to let this be an excuse to drink, just in case you're thinking that)

Ezz - do you need them to have British Citizenship? If its not important now take a deep breath and let it go, keep your running feelgood feeling!
Bxx
P.S. we looked into this when we were thinking of adopting - really wasn't black or white - a lot of ifs or buts. Plus my friend from Uk is married to a Singaporean, 3 kids born here, all have 2 passports.Proud to be SLIGHTLY SLOVENLY.:wavin:
