Evie, I get on average about one a week- it depends on your demographics, age, sex etc. if they think you are suitable to answer the particular companies questions. Being in the US you might get a few more. I just cashed my market points in- I had $80 accumalated, but it is nice to get some extra money you did not really have to work for.

I am going to buy some Fitflops- they are supposed to exercise your legs and bum without you having to do anything- just normal walking, LOL.

OK, so here is an update...






We have broken the ticker- it is at $521 and it only goes to $500, so I am going to stop it as I am worried I don't have enough funds to meet it until the money arrives from Paypal! My ex has given me 300? which I can pay back when it arrives but we are over

So I will send it right now, while the shop is quiet.

Aaw Thanks Limers, but it isn't really me...I just thought we could try to do something and it doesn't take me long to set up a webpage- everyone else did the rest...

Oney, I feel quite proud to be an alkie today- never thought I would say that.

OK, here is what happened-

According to my bank, $521 is 390 euros. So I told Western Union Online I wanted to send 390 euros, with their sending fee it came to 422 euros, so I went to send that, as I wanted to cover the sending fees and Paypal costs myself without taking it from his money. However it wouldn't go through, so I went to bank website but I only had 400 euros on that debit card, so I had to make the amount sent to him 370 euros, which made it a straight 400 euros total, so this time it went through. So in effect, 20 euros of the 30 euro sending fee has come out of his money, but I think that is better than him waiting for me to get to the bank and put the money in as he is obviously very much in need of it now.

After I did it, I had to call WU- they ask you lots of questions to confirm the transaction, then the battery went on the PC then clients came in the shop, so by the time I was back online I then saw we have another $30 (2 more donations) come in- but I will ask Sean for a postal address, (I am sure he can get mail sent to the church shelter or similar) and I will put it in an envelope. Mail from here to the UK should only take around 3 to 4 days. The same going for anyone else who sends anything, I will make sure he gets it as soon as possible, but preferably without paying any more fees to Western Union.

So he can now collect it, I just have to PM him the WU number. Phew.

Fantastic. Somebody said on one of these threads that here is a chance to make a difference in one person's life. We never know how doing just one thing like this can make a wider impact, but I have a great belief that it does.
