I will definitely watch. I don't have much planned today, still not feeling great. I have to wash all of the blood out of my hair. The doc made me wait at least 24 hours. I have housework to do and food shopping. I have a person interested in renting out my basement, so I have to finish cleaning it."Decide-Which Voice in Your Head you Can Keep Alive" (Shinedown)

Happy Saturday Troopers, Sea I am glad you checked in and are getting a plan together...I was praying for you and will continue to do so !!!!!!!!!!You are so worth sobriety and do what ever it takes to get that way PLEASE !!!
I have had an interesting morning so far. The water pump went out so (no shower for the guests and i was left to entertain them) while hubby went to get part at the hardware store. They told me it was their 35 anniversary and 28 of those years he had been a raging drunk. she had stuck by him and he was now 2 1/2 years sober. They want me to do a private re-commitment ceremony for them, tomorrow. So I am thinking on what kinda words would best express the "kind of love" it would take to stay with an alcoholic in a marriage for all those years and still be WANT to be there???
She is an amazing woman...that's for sure and it will truly be an honor to do a service for these DEAR people. Sometimes I just LOVE my job...and then other times.....well ????????????
Don't forget post time for the Derby is at 6pm EST
Chocolate candy better be running FAST ....FASTER...FASTEST.....TODAY !!!!!!!!!!!
Everyone, enjoy a sober and joyful weekend ...fill it with LOVE and Happiness !!!sigpicEyes on the PRIZE, a SOBER Future !!!

Sea
Glad to see you are OK. Please do see your doc and get some meds- I now take naltrexone and it has been a life saver for me. I take 25mgs a day (most people need 50mg) and most days it stops me picking up- if I do pick up, I don't really get a buzz and after 3 beers I have had more than enough. I don't think I could get drunk on it if I tried, although not everyone's experience is the same.
A few years ago I also did the falling and cutting my head thing- I ended up in the A&E, and left with a nice bunch of staples. I went to a different doctor 10 days later to get them removed, he did not understand why they had used staples, he said they hardly ever use them here anymore, as they were difficult and painful to remove for such a wound. I imagined they might have used them to teach me a lesson. I can still feel the big ridge on my head where they were.
Good luck with everything and make sure you keep that doctor's appointment- I wish I had discovered Naltrexone before.
