    Recycle Bin

    Hi all :-)

    Just went to put some stuff in the recycle bin and noticed it's full of milk and orange juice cartons as opposed to seemingly uncountable wine and beer bottles, with two milk cartons strategically placed on top to try to disguise what was underneath!

    This means I won't be waking up to the sound of clanking glass at 6am when they collect it!

    Hoorah! :-)

    Ah, the benefits of an AF lifestyle :-)
    I used to hate putting my bottles out...was a traumatic occurrence for me...

      Congratulations to both of you. Unlike you, the bottles still rattle in my recycle bin, but I hope that will change. Be very proud of yourselves.

        Hey Waving,
        I related to your post a great deal - I used to do the same or take them to a bin in a nearby park. I can't believe the way my life was full of secrets, lies and shame. I still even get a panicky feeling that my 'stash' will be discovered even though all evidence has been gone for a week now.
        Hurrah! I am on day 7 and feeling fab.

          Hi All
          One of the negative effects of going AF is that I have lost upper body strength.I blame it on not having to carry out the 2 recycling bins full off empty beer bottles.I had to tip the pick up guys big time at Christmas for all the lifting they did with my recycling bins all year.Now down to one bin with a couple of soda cans. I guess I am also helping the planet.They won't have to open another landfill because of me.

            The difference in my recycling (that I have to haul to the dump myself as I don't have pick-up) is one of my all time favorite benefits of being AF!!
            FINALLY -- I'm a non-drinker!!

                I hated the sound of the clanking bottles and trying to hide them from my daughter. I just took out what I hope to be the last cast of them today.
