Zen and Starty, you two are late to the party, I told Evie this earlier today. Oh except Starty mentioned Iron in a post while I was posting my post, so I guess she said Iron first.

However, hookworms seem to be involved in PICA as well, I wonder if Evie has been tested for intestinal worms? Oh Evie Lou.....???????

Oh Oney......they are fine with the exception of one we had to put to sleep as he froze the bottoms of both rear hooves off in the blizzard....he could get up and nurse but could not go more than a few steps....we let him live for about 4 weeks, hoping it would heal but it only got worse and he deleloped sores on his knees from crawling and they became infected.......he is in calvy heaven now....running like the wind!

Sorry if that last post sounded cavalier but I shed my tears as I gave the shot to put him to sleep.....I became quite attached to him after all the penicilin shots I gave him......It broke my heart to hear momma bawl for 3 days, looking for him.

Oh girls, that is life on the farm......I have come to accept the bad moments cause there are so many good ones.....Yesterday, I sat on the side of the road in my car for about 20 minutes watching one of our youngun's running like he was being chased by Satan himself......he had tail in air and was throughtly enjoying life and the warm weather.....THAT is what makes it worth it!

Hey Zen, bring that candy over for dessert....I just finished a very large Turkey.....nothing like turkey sandwiches, turkey and noodles, turkey gravy.....etc for the ENTIRE week......what can I say....had a craving for turkey. I wish they came in 5 lb versions!
