I was supposed to meet Lucy Van Pelt.. (sweet Beth) for lunch today on our way back from Miami. I called to confirm plans, but discovered she is in the hospital for acute and severe pain. I knew she started having terrible pain in her stomach a few days ago and it seems to get better during the day and severe at night. Tests have not shown much, so she was holding off until Monday for further testing, but apparently her condition has taken a turn for the worse. She may be having emergency surgery this afternoon, but if not, then tomorrow at the latest to go in and see what is going on. I am planning to go see her on my way home if I can find out which hospital she is in. I know she would appreciate your thoughts and I will let you know how she is doing as I find out more.
