When I told my stepmom that I was doing this program (she's the third person I've told besides partner and doctor), she sent me this, she THINKS written by Nelson Mandela (please correct if anyone knows) that many of you might have read before. I'm sending it on, because I read some posts in which people are down on themselves, so I thought it was uplifting. She sent it to me simply because I have taken the steps to change my life: (P.S. No religious intentions or affiliations meant here)
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us. We ask ourselves who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you NOT to be? You are a child of GOD. Your playing small doesn't ever serve the world. There's nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us. It's in everyone. And as we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others..."
Okay, long enough lunch for me, back to work to make some $$$.
