    gratefull

Its,s very important to keep in a grateful frame of mind,if we want to stay sober.we should be grateful that were living in a day and age when alcoholics aren,t treated as before, when every town had it,s town drunk who was regarded with scorn and ridiculed,at least today we have somewhere to go & try & get some help,we have numerous online sites,1,2,1 meetings, group meetings & of course AA,we also have the support & encouragement here which is invaluable, one thing that keeps me sober is a feeling of loyalty to other members here, when i was drinking i was loyal to anybody but me,its nice to find a group who are helping each other to stay sober from the long term abstainers to the just starting out(like me).And its nice to know that we don't take ourselves to serious all the time, even though its a serious road we are on,anyway i am grateful to be here, grateful to be sober & just grateful:thanks:

Thanks for your excellent post, for me gratitude is very important in my recovery. Being grateful makes me look back to where I have come from and could have gone had I not wandered in here. Today I thank my Higher Power for carrying me.

                Thanks Mario...
I'm very grateful for the help that I've received here and elsewhere, and for the chance to start.....doing it right.
It's also been a revelation to me how the feeling that I was somehow going without by not drinking has been replaced by better, more positive thoughts that I'm not missing out on anything, exceptmore heartache and an early death.
I'm getting better and it feels good.
