    From UKSean...

    Hello all,
Just thought I would update you on the latest.
I had my Doctors appointment yesterday..I have the early onset of C.O.P.D. but the nurse said that with treatment and lung exercise's we should be able to prevent it from getting much worse.. They also took blood and I will have the results next week.
Things at the shelter are going well, although the days can be long as we have to be out by 9am and not allowed back untill 5pm..so it's the library and any free exhibits I can find around town.
With all this walking it can be a bit hard on my legs as the circulation makes it tough to get up hills and stairs, but the nurse said to do as much walking as I can, it is good for my health.
I have applied for jobs on line the best I can it's a matter of biding my time for awhile.
Once I have been here for some time I can reapply for housing and go from there.
Well thats about it for now I will keep you posted of any news.
    Love to all,
    Sean X

Sean, I am so pleased to hear that you are recieving treatment -- what sort of lung exercises have they given you to do?

    Oney, that's a wonderful idea.

I hope you have a great weekend Sean

      Good Day Eh!

      Wow, great stuff Sean . . .

So good to hear from you on your progress. Thanx . . .

Listen to the nurses, I know the lung exercises are hard to do but you'll see that it helps your breathing, especially for walking up those stairs and hills. I find yoga helps tremendously because it teachs you how to breath properly and it is very relaxing. Your library can provide you with some really interesting resources on various aspects of strengthening your lungs.

Do they give you meds or puffers for breathing?

Prayers and Positive Energy are being sent to you daily Sean . . . :l
