That's great Mario.
I used to do a bit of running but I've got really bad knees. (I snapped tendons and burst cartilidges in both of them over the years) so cycling would be good for me too. I've done a little and I'm going to do a lot more.

I had a great meeting with my counsellor this morning. She's as pleased as I am with my progress. My enthusiasm for sobriety isn't waning. There's a part on the hypno CD where the guy says that I'll wake up every morning proud of my previous day's success, and I really do. I sometimes feel that I come across as a little smug when I talk about staying sober, but it's not like that. I'm just so happy that I'm managing to stay dry and that I don't miss it at all. I keep expecting huge cravings and to feel sorry for myself but it's not happening either (yet). I know I've said this before but the way I think about drinking has altered. I don't think that I deliberately set about changing it, it just happened. I'm not missing out by getting rid of it as I used to think. Something in my mind that was distorted and illusory has been retuned. Does that make sense?Living now and not just existing since 9th July 2008

ARmy Thread 13th May
Hi to All,
I am happy to see everyone in a good mood (except BH).
BH, What Starty says is SO true about the anxiety level being lessened by your sobriety. I know you will ace it. Think of it as an opportunity to go out of your comfort zone; when you are done you will have lots of pride for your accomplishment. I wish you the best- I think I'm probably too late for this post anyway; you are probably sound asleep.
I forgot Oney is suffering also with a sore throat and some extra pain medication. Take it easy, honey. I hope you will be feeling better soon. Gyc, good luck on the Dr reports; I hope he can get you some relief.
I love seeing the transformations like Pops has made into a new way of thinking about AL; it is truly a blessing when we reach that stage where our mind has turned a corner and we no longer feel deprived or sad about that loss.
Have a great sober day everyone....love to all.
