we weren't allowed to leave the table until all our food was finished, so my brother and I used to make sure we wore Pj's with pockets in them and would slooowly sneak our peas or other revolting veg into the serviette and pop it into our pocket -- hay presto, grubs finished:-)

I don't even REMEMBER food being an issue as a child - you ate, you might get a snack sometimes, you might not. With my kids, I didn't force them to eat things they absolutely HATED, but they had to try it all, neither of them starved, have beautiful bodies today. My g'children like to snack out of the garden during the summer on veggies.

I had an aunt and uncle with a change of life baby that would only eat hot dogs. That is one f*#&@$d up guy! We're lucky - our kids are very fit and love healthy food. My daughter and SIL are bears about healthy eating - no fast food, soft drinks, very little sugar, natural ingredients.

Happy Thursday Troopers, Learning how to work my new toy PC is proving to be a challenge. I have blessed my new laptop and named him "Willy Wooker"....thanks for the idea Startsy and with your hubby in Slovakia Wooker is a key word when he returns. Remember, Absence make the heart grow fonder and the ....grow ????? Evie go to your room. I know......LMFCTO !!!

Greenie, Like Dee I am jealous on the fly fishing...especially cause I have the cutest Camouflage outfit with flip flops capri pants and a wide brimmed hat. I would look great so if we didn't caught any fish I bet we could get some fisher guys to buy us LOBSTER dinner (especially since I can only eat fish that comes from a shell).
Oney, Hope your feeling better ........flu seems to hang on forever for me.
I am hoping that I am going to get a visit from KRIGERS in a few weeks while she is in Florida. Wouldn't that be GREAT !!!
I am still off the ice...I think once I spoke out loud about it the power it had over me was gone...THANK GOD !!! I had root canal yesterday and have several teeth in the back that are cracked below the gum so I will have to have them out....LOTS OF PAIN...in my mouth and in my wallet....LMFCTO !!!
Have a magical sober Thursday everyone. I love my new SOBER life and plan on staying that way ....now and forever more

My g'kids like to cook, too, so that helps them get involved in what their eating. I used to have both my son and daughter plan dinner once a week, from shopping to cooking. Son is still a good cook.

Deebers...I have been known to do that is restaurants....not in my pajamas tho...

My kids were the worst with veggies and I would sneak zucchini into fake apple pies and breads.Today they are both vegetarians ...go figure ???

I will lounge on the blanket on the shore and look cute...see what we can catch that way.. Probably not much at my age but there was a day RUBES....THERE WAS A DAY !!!!!!!!!LOL

This Willy feels like a toy compared to my HP. This is so small and smells funny.......like PLASTIC ???. Not at all like the aged smell of good old SPARKY !!!

Hi Everyone,
I just got up after a rotten night's sleep....how was yours Rubes? Did they tell you anything about your sleep patterns?
Oney and Limey, I agree with Rubes on making different dinners for all....it sets up a pattern that you won't be able to break....you will find yourself doing this until they leave home. We all want harmony in our homes but not at the sacrifice of "Mom". I know it is up to you to do what you feel is right for your family...I don't want to interfere, I just don't like seeing you running ragged.

BD, Great news about 3 weeks AF.... the early days are the hardest for sure.
Mario, You are a trooper for riding your bike in the rain!! Gold Star to you.
Starty, You are really going to kick ass in the mini marathon, lady!!
Greenie, Flyfishing is an art I hear and very difficult....have a great time in the big outdoors. Don't forget to smell the roses.

Hi all.
I am still going twice or 3 times a week Krigs. I've made some great friends, and it's wonderfull to share with people who live in my city every week.
