Yes, you are so right. Okay. I'm still drinking too, much to my disgust. But, I am determined to stop this time for good. I KNOW how much better I was in my whole life when I was sober. Do you want to start a one on one AF time? You name it.Feb 04 2009 80 days AF.

I tried campral, and my experience was that it didnt do much for me. But as my doc said, it works for some and not for others. I think alot of it has to do with our state of mind. I was taking them hoping that it would make me stop wanting to drink, when in fact I still did. I think they have to go hand in hand with the real will to want to stop. I tried all sorts of meds, and none worked for me, because I still had that mental obsession to drink. I was a terrible 'dry drunk'. Though I wasnt drinking, i was a fecking nightmare to be around, and I sure let everyone know I wasnt drinking! For me anyway, the removal of that 'mental obsession' has been the biggest step in my recovery to date.To Infinity And Beyond!!

Dave
My doc would not give me Campral because I have digestive issues. She also would not give me Topa because I have Hypotension, but I ordered it online anyway. I was desperate. I am still on 25mg of Topa daily, but dose doubles tomorrow. I am definitely noticing a reduction in cravings and alcohol does taste bad. My blood pressure seems to be ok so far. I have not felt light headed. I am sure that folks on the Meds thread can help you out."Decide-Which Voice in Your Head you Can Keep Alive" (Shinedown)
