    Answered Prayers for Lucy Van Pelt!

    Hey all..
    I just talked to LVP and she finally had to undergo surgery on Friday... only to discover that her three weeks on and off in the hospital under the care of a GI specialist found that she does NOT have Chron's disease, but rather some scar tissue on her appendix, which was quickly discovered by another doc, who had her undergo immediate surgery to remove the scar tissue (not the appendix). Problem solved!

    I told her the day she called me I thought it was her appendix because of the pain she was describing having seen another friend go through it. Anyway.. I am just so happy that it is over and she is not sick... no cancer... no disease... she just needs some friggin PASTA after not eating for three weeks! I am sure her GI specialist did the best he knew how, but still, let this be a thread of hope that we NEVER have to "settle" just because one doctor diagnoses us with a disease. Not that her appendix was going to allow her to settle...

                          (((Beth)))) So sorry you had to endure that due to someone's stubborness and refusal to explore opportunities. Wouldn't have happened with Dr. House (I don't know if you get that tv show in England, but actually the actor playing it is English I heretell, can't tell by his accent.
