Ireland has always had mass emigration from the 50s-90s. In the mid 80s I was attending a going away party for friends every 2nd week. We have just come out of the biggest boom the country has ever seen and fallen flat on our asses. People would emirgrate en mass again but when do they go now? It used to be the UK, followed by the US and in the 90s Aus was popular. End of lecture.

I am self employed and financially things arent great but sure I have more important things to concern me just now. Staying sober being no.1
No its the young families trapped in the negative equity net and losing their jobs that I feel for.Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

Yes, its horrifying. We were caught in the neg equity trap in the 90s. It was pretty bad. The amount of repossessions and the unemployment...seems like we have gone full circle...Living now and not just existing since 9th July 2008
Nicotine Free since 6th February 2009
