Oh it gets worse its 42 degrees in Dubai. My friend that I am staying with said could I please get her 4 bottles of vodka in duty free as AL is very expensive over there and no not the little ones the big ones. She said that should sort her out for the weekend! Fer fuck sake and me a recovering alcoholic - its not going to be a good look is it. If I dont turn up I will probably be locked up in a Dubai jail for traffiking Alcohol and noone will believe that I am a sobershite. I mean a soberite.

Or say you dropped them ......
maybe you should start bringing your skills in avoiding bedroom antics into other areas of your life now?
My problem is the opposite, I always say no to everything, when really half the time I mean yes :-)Living now and not just existing since 9th July 2008

I have this wonderful pic in my head of a defiant boozehag in shorts and a skanky tshirt carrying a plastic bag full of her belongings and knocking back bottle after bottle of illegal contraband...:-)Living now and not just existing since 9th July 2008

Yes the oracle says its okay and she is right 4 bottles - must be catering for the boozy brits ha ha...
The airport is famous for its duty-free shopping [3]. However, please note that prices in the airport's duty-free stores are equal or higher than what you can find in the many malls of the city. Alcohol here is very cheap, though. Alcohol is also available at an inbound duty free store situated in the baggage reclaim area. The allowance is 4 bottles (or four 6 packs) per person.

Starts - You know me so well its scaring me....
My mother ate an entire irish smoked salmon in duty free in Auckland once as they were going to confiscate it. So its a family tradition.
She was also going to eat the Irish pork sausages and the Barry's tea bags but they werent cooked.

Toothache is OK after some painkillers, it's not a really bad one like an abscess (Where I cry!!) just niggling and was enough to wake me up at the crack of dawn this morning LOL.
Have decided to not go back to bed. I had a 'session' until 5am on Friday night, slept til about 2pm on Sat and I am all out of whack so will just get on with the day and hopefully be tired at a normal time tonight. Cy has kindly offered to pick me up and take me to the 1pm AA meeting so have had a bath, breakfast and cleaned up. I actually love cleaning the kitchen! It's vacuuming I cant stand and why I hire a cleaner once a week LOL!
Im in Dublin (Sounds like some of you are?) at the end of June for a flying weekend visit to my friends. They are not massive drinkers, but usually are when Im there haha... they are aware of my little problem now but I dont want them to feel they cant do their usual G&T wind down on the weekend just cos Im there (I hate G&T anyway) - Maybe I need to find a meeting in central Dublin sometime on the Sat afternoon to keep me on the straight and narrow?
As I said in my hello thread, there is no more booze left in my house and I want to keep it that way.

Other duty free stuff is cheaper in malls not alcohol - which is cheap apparently - mind you with little teen tiny NZ dollars nothing is cheap anywhere except maybe Afghanistan. There is no such thing as off licences there and if you live there you have to register and get a special card to buy alcohol once a month in a kind of barricaded garage building way out in the desert. So everyone brings back duty free.
