Smile Virus

Smiling is infectious, you catch it like the flu.
When someone smiled at me today, I started smiling, too.

I passed around the corner and someone saw my grin
when he smiled, I realized I'd passed it on to him!

I thought about that smile and then realized its worth,
a single smile, just like mine, could travel round the earth.

So, if you feel a smile begin, don't leave it undetected,
let's start an epidemic quick, and get the world infected!

Great thought.

Early in my 20s living in a very populated piece of earth, I decided to "just start smiling" at people.

Some people smile back automatically.

Some are surprised and then smile because it made them happy.

Others look down and avoid.

Even others stare back and refuse to react.

Because some smile back automatically and some are surprised and happy, I let the others not bother me.

A smile back is a gift. A true gift.

I take every one I can get.
