I agree the guilt and shame must go.
You/We do have a disease/disorder call it what we will- we did not ask for it and God only knows- we don't want to have it.
I only did what everyone else was doing when they were a teenager- I did not know what it would lead to. We have to cut ourselves a bit of slack.
You will be just fine, I am sure. I am glad your sponsor did not react negatively.
