Army Thread 5th June 2009
Well, I went for my interview and it was good. The guy said I ticked all the right boxes and that I looked like I could handle the job, Still, he probably says that to everyone. He's going to call this evening and let me know.
I used to get really nervous with interviews and the like; Mummbling and stumbling over my words, but I seem to have calmed down, mentally, over the last wee while. There's very little phases me any more. I'm by no means cocky, just calmer and more relaxed about things. That must be what age and grandfatherhood bring.

Hi Everyone,
I see you all made it back in one piece after the run. I have been here at my Mom's and having trouble with the internet connction. They are also hovering over me so I find it hard to have some "alone" time to jump on the thread without them asking what I am doing.
I had THE MOST WONDERFUL time with Evie; she is a true "GEM". I had a very special time with her, although it went too quckly. I am bound and determined to go back for a visit soon; Evie and Will were the most gracious hostess and host! Their B & B is VERY charming and warm. I could easily live in that town....
Evie gave me some books to read and I have started on one....The Celestine Prophecy. It is a very interesting book...more later about that.
Thanks for the pics Starty. You guys look like you are having a ball, which is what I thought would happen. Those runs are fun, right? People really get into the spirit of things don't they.
I leave to go home tomorrow and I feel this trip was "the blink of one eye". Not to worry, I wil be here again in July. We went down yesterday to see the accomodations for July's trip and they are more than nice, they are fantastic! We will be 1.5 miles from Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island is close too. We will have 2 three bedroom condos with a lakefront view and lots of amenities. I am gettting excited already.
I have to run because Mom and Dad are getting up but I love and miss you all.... Kriggybottom
Another big THANK YOU to Evie for all she did for me while I visited her. I had Ghost Tours, Tour of the Old Jail, a museum and finally a tour of the ancient city- all compliments of Evie and Will. We also did a picnic on the beach which was important to me (to see the ocean). The beach was beautiful!!!!"People usually fail when they are on the verge of success. Hey Kriggy, I am so pleased you had a good time!
Pops, that is fantastic that they didnt leave you hanging for too long!!! Delighted about the interview too.
I felt like that at mine as well, previous interviews have always been nervewracking affairs. This one I was able to just be me and I was perfectly relaxed.
I think it has a lot to do with being sober.Living now and not just existing since 9th July 2008
