Hi
Good day to you all. I just wanted to check in with you. I always log in and read but got too scared to post as i seemed to only post when under the influence and needing a chat...a friendly "face" to speak to. I know its not good to do that but..but...but...!..so here i am, sober and fresh. Ive found my key to success with the modding. Ive been doing an art course one night a week and have found such inspiration to do stuff at home too...so instead of lying infront of the tv with a glass in my hand Ive been sewing....sounds boring yawn yawn to many people perhaps(?) but im loving it and once i get my hands on my piece of art, im absorbed totally and wondering about colour and pattern etc....you see the reason i often turn to the drink is because im bored. Being a stay at home mother is good but its soooooo unstimulating and monotonous at times. Ive needed something that takes me way from the world...something that i have a passion for ..and that is....my creativity...im an artist and ive let it slip over the years, replaced my talent with booze. Booze takes me away to another cushioned world but always leaves me washed out and depressed...whereas my art leaves me focused and re-freshed. I love to escape and ive found a way of doing this without killing myself. Does that make sense. ???? I still drink but for some strange reason, im not wanting to get off my head and i know this is because i have something else to focus on. Thanks for listening to me and take care.

Hi
Bella, I cant tell you how feckin DELIGHTED I am that you are excercising your creativity, you do it and build on it and keep it going. Kids are great but theres no point in forgetting who you are when you have them, doesnt do you or them any good at all. Well done you!

Hi
Hiya Bella.
It's great when we reclaim our art, our soul. I ignored my art (music) far too often, and preferred to just drink, and pluck away from time to time. It is criminal. I'm back to my music with a quiet vengeance these days. So much out there to discover/experience. Sounds like you are reclaiming a piece of yourself. Bravo!

Hi
Bella,
Most of us drink out of boredom or to numb a pain or both. I too found hobbies to fill my time. I could never drink daily now. My animals would die and so would my flowers. And I have invested alot of love, money, and time in both. Your sewing is the same thing. Good for you!!!!!Forever loved, forever missed Papa Bear

Hi
Ah, Bella - so good to hear! Boredom is a HUGE trigger for me.... and so is having small children, LOL! So many of us mom's feel unappreciated at times and yes, being a stay at home mom has it's rewards; but sometimes we need more.
Congrats on your new hobbies. That is the key to successfully modding or staying AF. Keeping busy and doing something we have a passion for.
Way to go and keep checking in.

Hi
Bella, that was such an beautiful inspiring post. Thank you so much for sharing! Even those of us who have careers outside the home can be bored with life. We all need to find the passion in our life and nuture it and make it grow. That will color the rest of our life. Keep working those passions! It is great that you have found an outlet and a comfort zone for yourself. Good work, girlie!!!!
