I went to an AA meet a couple of weeks ago. My first. I went out of curiosity, and though i am feeling great, commited, and strong/happy, i reckon the more tools in the toolbox for the battle, the better, so why not. I was made to feel very welcome. It was a small group, on a monday, which i happened to take off work, so i just cruised on in, and stayed for the hour or so. It didn't knock my socks off, but hearing the real, very tragic stories in front of me, bolstered my strength, and reasons for quitting. I don't feel i need a regular meeting at the mo, but i intend to drop in now and then for a 'top up'. I say have a look. You won't be judged, and it definately is an experience i'm glad i tried. Take what you need, and leave the rest. See if it's for you. Worth a try.

Good afternoon Peeps,
Jus checking in from the emerald Isle. Weather here doesn't know what its doing, thought it was gunna be a scorcher this morning, but the clouds have decesended and I'd say we're in for rain :sigh:
Up at 8 this morning, I have a small photography studio in the house, which I do part time. Had a shoot with a family at 11am. First job since last year (let everything fall by the wayside the past few months).
Was dead nervous about getting stuck in again after such a long time, was even half hoping they'd cancel ray: But they didn't and I was delighted with myself after I'd forgotten how much I loved my photography, another casualty of the drink I suppose.
Heading off to get ready and meet friend for lunch in town, will check in later.
Happy Saturday to u all x
