    Just dropping in for support

I havent been on in a while because I have been drinking quite a bit. I have had some AF days, but not nearly enough. I am sad and ashamed most of the time. Does anyone know why we do this to ourselves?
I am pledging to be AF today. Once I go a day, the next day I feel like I can handle it. I am focusing on getting out of that cycle this week. I am so tired of feeling like this.
I feel bad posting like this. I feel like I must seem like such a whiner. I just want to be happy and whole again. I know it is in me somewhere, I just need to find it.
I know you have all been thru this and I always appreciate your words of wisdom. I really hope that at the end of the week I will be posting happy things and maybe even finally encouraging someone else.

BB, haven't you been told all your life by the well-meaning adults 'Don't compare yourself to anyone else' , while your watching the best and brightest zip past you and everyone else seem to do better. Don't worry about it on THIS thread. THIS is YOUR thread. We will only post about you, and what we need to do to help you feel better. I HATE alcohol. I HATE what it does to people, to families, to lives, homes, jobs, etc. But lets start with you. What can I do to help YOU today? I'm here, and I can bring others to help you, if you really mean you want get over this.

            Hey Blanchie.

At least you are trying. Your perseverance will get you there.

If you can go 1 day af try and do 2 next time.

Thank you everyone. Yes, I really do want to do this Ruby. I am so tired of feeling like Crap everyday. I want to feel good about myself. I just don't know how to get there.
I did good yesterday. I feel a little better today. I feel like I need someone needs to be on my shoulder all day to keep me in check. In the morning I am sure I can do it and then the night comes and I cave. How do I get over that?
Please stay with me....It helps so much to have you all here.

                Hey Blanchie . . .

                Hey Bboo,

"I did good yesterday. I feel a little better today. I feel like I need someone needs to be on my shoulder all day to keep me in check. In the morning I am sure I can do it and then the night comes and I cave. How do I get over that"? are you taking any meds for cravings?

A thread from a prior post below:

We're all in your corner. Like what Sheepie said 'It's Damn Hard'. Heck, what in life that's worth having isn't hard to attain.

Try not to feel so down on yourself. Your head is in the right place wanting to be AF and when you come here to this forum, You are in the Right Place in your head.

You know you want to quit, therefore it will happen. 'Law of Attraction' see the vision you want and it will be yours (but be patient Rome wasn't built in a day).

So much Great Advise from everyone. Keep reading and threading and NEVER Give Up Fighting the Good Fight.

One of the things that I find helpful is to read prior posts in the Search engine.

And like the others said, keep coming here ~ :l

I took topamax for 2 months. I could not handle the side affects. I have an apt. with my doctor to try campral.
It is good to be here and know I'm not alone. thanks
