Plans for the day -- home with 2 year old. You ever have one of those revelations where you finally look around and realize you are SICK of all the clutter and crap all over the house? Well, I have been in that mode since Sunday, and esp. since visiting my mom a few weeks ago -- her house is spotless. Between toddler, teenager and hubby, though, this house ain't seen spotless in forever!
I'm also trying to clean closet clutter so that teenage stepson, who is here for the summer, if not forever, has proper storage for his stuff. We just acquired a nice big dresser from my mom, so that will help. These projects are part of my motivation to be AF for bit, though, cause if I drink too much I'll do nothing but lay around.
Oh yeah, I have some schoolwork I was supposed to do 3 weeks ago! Hope do get that done finally as well.
Oh, and stressing cause we have $ - 3 in the bank and no pay till Friday.
Krigs, glad your hubby is examining his drinking. We'll see how the rest of this week goes for mine. But don't hold your breath.

I will Rubes, and Thanks!
I was just reading up on some detox results on some other threads and I'm getting prepared for what will come for hubs. I had very little to deal with in that regard so I think reading about the experiences of others here will be helpful."People usually fail when they are on the verge of success. CS,
It sounds like you are getting things sorted and being busy will help you a lot. Get that house in tip top condition (I should practice what I preach!) and you will want to STAY sober to enjoy the nice, clean house! Post here to keep us abreast of your week.
My hubby will have a tough road ahead but he really wants to quit so I am here to support him in any way I can. Good luck to you this week and always."People usually fail when they are on the verge of success. So give as much care to the end as to the beginning." Lao-Tzu

C, sometimes its hard to face reality, SO we drink, but when we're sober, we suddenly realize what we miss out on by being semi-conscious most of the time! My house hasn't been this straight in 10 years! LOL As far as the bank account, I'm sure you're in very good company in this economy. We all need to learn to live within our means, and be happy for it. I would SO love to downsize. Krigs, go ahead and get some Vitamin B-12. Our body is SO depleted by it during drinking, and, at least for me, taking 1 morning and evening has made me feel better than I have in years (plus I quit smoking the first of April)and it can't hurt. Be sure he's taking a very good daily vitamin.sigpic

My hubby has no desire to change his drinking habits, though he knows, deep down, that he should. This has been a major problem for me in reducing/eliminating my own AL consumption.
There are a lot of realities (mostly financial but a few other things) that we have both been avoiding for some time now, and I am afraid that soon we'll get bitten in the ass.
I need to reorganize my vitamins from last year when I bought them all. I know they're kind of old, but better than nothing. Should do that while baby watches Sesame Street!
