    a little slip

I will admit that I had a little slip. I had two beers but not enough to get me real drunk. But I still know that a drink is a drink and so that I would now have to start back on Day 1. A Part of me is saying that I didn't get real drunk therefore I shouldn't start back at day 1. What should I do?

Should I start back at day 1 or just say 8 days of not getting drunk?

But if it wasn't for you guys I know I would of had more. So Thanks.
I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.

Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.

Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.

Me, I'd say 8 days of not getting drunk. But I think it's different for everyone and probably depends a lot on what you're striving for, or what motivates you more, or what makes you feel good about yourself the most.

I'm still early on in being sober, but I've still had a beer here and there. (I was drinking a 5th of hard liquor a day for a long time, until last week.)

Great job, btw .... Well done and something to be very, very proud of!
AF for two years. Slight relapse. Working on it at the moment.

I say you are doing a good job at being AF and to stayed focused on that and give very little attention to what you don't want (drinking).....make sense ??? It does to me. Keep your eyes straight ahead on the prize..A SOBER LIFE !!! Keep up the good work !!!

            a little slip

Drifty and Cat - CONGRATULATIONS! It's never easy, and the real road is never as clean as we want it to be. I've had my slips and swerves, but over time they've decreased steadily and I found my framework for the rest of my life. Keep up the good (hard) work.

I have to agree with everyone here.

I know AAers will have an "issue" with it but that is why I belong here and at AA. I need both views.

Don't stress on small slips. Stress on the big ones, the ones that send you down that path you hate to be on.

So, you have been drunk free (DF) for 8 days.

You are doing very, very well. I am so glad to hear it.

                Love,
